Alumnus of IIM-Lucknow, he has a few feathers in his cap. He took up his internship with Planning Commission and worked with India’s biggest think tank on the “Eleventh Five Year Plan”. He went on to join the first Leadership batch of Aditya Birla Group, as part of an elite team being groomed for the future leadership. Financial Markets were his calling and was soon handling portfolio of INR 900 Bn as a Fund Manager in Fixed Income segment. Thats where the love of credit developed as he was involved in deals being structured to meet the growing needs of Indian corporates. The machinations involved for raising a bridge loan to fund a spectrum bidding or a 20 year bond for a Project, each required a rigorous credit appraisal and deep understanding of the factors which may impact the creditworthiness of the borrower.
Next assignment took him to the treasury of one of biggest Private Sector Bank, where he developed a greater understanding of the capital flows in and out of banking system. He also learnt how changes in policies at the highest level and various macroeconomic variables impacted the economy. He now wishes to focus on the lacunae and inefficiencies in the Banking sector and provide a technological solution to it increasing the reach of the system for one and all.

With over a decade in banking and experience across Sales, Credit underwriting, Operations and collections, Akbar is the man who breathes and sleeps banking. An MBA degree in Marketing, Akbar loves the credit risk assessment and is passionate about Business Process Re-engineering. He started his career in Retail Banking and soon climbed up the ladder to become the Centre Head for Retail loans. It gave him a deep understanding of customer behaviour and borrowing patterns of Indian Consumers.
Part of the “Future Leaders - Talent Pool” at IDBI bank, Akbar was chosen to set-up the Retail Asset Centre (RAC) in Agra, where he build up a loan book of INR 1 bn in less than 2 years. The bigger achievement being, “With ZERO NPAs”. He was soon promoted to North India’s biggest RAC handling INR 25bn in assets, where he disbursed another INR 7 bn, and once again with ZERO NPAs. He made several suggestions to the Board on the best credit practices of the trade to be adopted and constructively brought into the RACs.

A true Banker at heart, Mansi has worked on every aspect of Banking over her 12 years+ of Banking career. Starting with the Retail Banking branch in Lucknow she worked her way up from an intern to being the Assistant General Manager, on fast track. She headed the Retail Assets Operations (Auto & Personal Loans) for the Bank and this allowed her to dig deep into the best practices needed to detect fraud or early signs of a loan going sour. This learning came very handy as she headed the Retail Branch at Bandra-Kurla Complex (Mumbai) and handled the disbursement of INR 40 Mn Structured Lending products. During the same assignment she grew the Branch’s CASA from INR 200 Mn to INR 400 Mn. She was instrumental in maintaining a Deposit book of INR 51 Bn in her branch. She also headed the Capital Market Operations and was Banks’s Compliance officer co-ordinating with SEBI ( Capital Market Regulator) and Depository Participants (CSDL & NSDL).
Her list of accomplishment is indeed long as she was instrumental in ensuring the compliance with CERSAI for more than 15000+ mortgage loans accounts. She also handled the monitoring and maintenance of Structured Loan Accounts which she claims to be one of her biggest learnings. She won accolades in Prime Minister’s push for financial inclusion with the branch under her command delivering the best results for PM Jan-Dhan Yojna. The issue of Financial Inclusion, in true sense, remains close to her heart.

A true geek, Yasir is the man who speaks the language of the machines. A computer science graduate , he has over a decade of experience working across platforms and across geographies. He started his career with Accenture as Technical Consultant and soon was their Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist. He moved to the banking as a Collaboration Portal Platform Consultant in a Private Bank in UK & Singapore. Yasir’s passion for learning took him across industries and he gained valuable insights as he worked as Microsoft Portal Specialist in Telecom giant QTel in Qatar. And as a Product Development Manager in a Singapore based IT-Healthcare Company.
He has expertise in technical architecture design and development and has sound knowledge of Client based scripting languages. He is a innovator by nature and strives for efficiency in every aspect of life by leveraging technology. He has developed various automation tools across industries and was instrumental in developing Gullakh.com platform, which is his second stab at start-ups.
